Kari Latomaa

Kari lives in Kokkola, Finland, and has been tying flies for the past 22 years.

He has been fishing for as long as he remembers and received his first spinning rod at the age of 5 with tying lessons following at 10. Kari would regularly go fishing with his parents and friends growing up and has fond memories of his mother often coming down to the river to bring him home as “tomorrow was going to be a school day”.

His favourite fish to catch are Sea Trout, Salmon, and Grayling, with his biggest catch to date being 110cm / 10kg Pike.

Kari has an active social media presence where he regularly posts pictures, videos, and tutorials of his trips and flies, regularly using Partridge of Redditch hooks.
