Sean Deeney

I’m a Salmon fly dresser from Derry in Northern Ireland. I’ve been tying for around 12 years’ now, starting off watching You Tube videos and progressed for there. My poassion is tying moredern shrimp, hair wing and Scandinavian patterns putting my own personal touch and spin on them. I’ve tied at several fishing fairs including the Irish fly fair, Irish Spring Angling Fiar and the North West Angling Fair. Recently I was invited to become a Partridge of Redditch Ambassador which was a great honour for me personally.

I’ve been flyfishing for Atlantic Salmon, Sea Trout and Brown Trout for over thirty five years on the river’s on the Foyle system and te Lough’s and river’s in Donegal. My home river is the stunning Finn where I also guide for Glenmore Rivers.

Sean has been salmon fishing since he was was boy, the fly tying came in my thirty’s after visiting an angling fair and watching guy’s like Joe MC Donald tying salmon flies. Sean specialises in fly-fishing for Atlantic Salmon, you can see below why we wanted Sean to be a member of the Partridge of Redditch pro team.
