KELLY’S CRIPPLE (Kelly Galloup)

Hook: L5A/L5AY Size 16/18. Bent in vise in thirds to give a radius on hook.

Tail: Microfibbets Olive.

Body: Superfine in Brown Olive layered (not mixed) with Rusty Brown for segmentation or colours of your choice.

Hackle: Grizzle dyed Olive.

Thorax: Same as body about 1/3 thicker, and darker if you can manage it.

Wing: Sparkle Emerger Yarn Grey or Z Lon in Light Dun tyed on side of hook.

 

TWISTED MIDGE (Blue Ribbon Flies)

Hook: K14A Size 18-22

Body: Twisted Black Z-Lon or Sparkle Emerger Yarn (Not too long).

Thorax: Black Superfine or BRF Black Midge Dubbing.

Wing: Crinkled Z Lon in Light Dun or White tyed spent style.

Hook: K14A Size 16-22

Body: Twisted and wrapped CDC (0ne feather).

Thorax/Head: Twisted and wrapped CDC (one small feather).

Wing: CDC Fibres Stripped from stem, and trimmed to length.

GLASS BEAD EMERGER (Ed Engle)

Hook: L5A/L5AY 16, 18

Tail: Olive Microfibbets.

Body: 3 Strands of Pheasant Tail, natural or dyed Olive.

Butt: 2 Turns of Silver Holographic Tinsel Small.

Rib: UTC Ultrawire Copper Size Small.

Thorax:Peacock Ice Dubbing.

Wing: Very short wing stub of White Sparkle Emerger yarn or Z-Lon.

Bead: Silver Lined Glass Bead size 11/0, tyed on top of the hook with white GSP.

 

AP PONTOON DUN (Andre Puyans)

Hook: L5A/L5AY 16, 18

Tail: Olive Microfibbets( 4 Fibres split 2 and 2 for stability)

Body: Superfine Colour of your Choice. I like Brown Olive.

Wing and Outriggers: 2 matching and dense natural CDC Fibres tyed in curved away from each other with stems tyed back for outriggers to provide stability and enhance floatability.

Thorax and Head: Superfine to match body.

 

AP PONTOON EMERGER (Andre Puyans)

Hook: K14A 16, 18

Shuck: A few Strands of Mayfly Brown Z –Lon or Antron trimmed to length.

Body: Superfine Colour of your Choice., the lighter olives work well here as we are imitating an emerging insect.

Wing and Outriggers: 2 matching and dense naturalCDC Fibres tyed in curved away from each other with stems tyed back for outriggers to provide stability and enhance floatability.

Thorax and Head: Superfine Brown Olive making sure that the head and thorax are toned darker than the body.

Hook: D4AF 14

Body: Two Long Dyed Black CDC Fibres Twisted and wrapped making a body of 2/3rds shank length.

Wing: Stripped White CDC Fibres trimmed to length of body.

Thorax & Legs: Black CDC and Black Peacock Ice dubbing in a dubbing loop or by split thread, trimmed on bottom to make sure fly lies flush in the film.

Thorax Cover: Black 3mm Foam.
